Only One Player Survived till the End in Kumble’s One Hour Test


Ajinkya Rahane won the one hour challenge

India’s New head Coach, Anil Kumble conducted ‘One Hour Challenge’ test for every cricketer and only one player survived it till the end.

Kumble implemented a new technique of coaching his boys and he took the Indian cricket team to Alur which is 40 kilometers away from Bangalore for the test. The batsmen had to bat for full one hour without getting out and the bowlers needed to pick up as many wickets as possible.

This is not looking to be a toughest challenge for Experienced Indian Side but the results are not favour to the batting unit. Test team skipper Virat Kohli got out two times in the one hour and it was Ravindra Jadeja, who claimed his wicket on both the occasions.

Indian Test opening Batsmen Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay also got out twice in the 1-hour challenge test. The duo was up against the pace bowling trio of Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar for the first 30 minutes and against Amit Mishra, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin in the next 30 minutes.

Shikhar Dhawan got out in Ashwin’s over and second chance, he got out by return catch to Bhuvaneshwar Kumar. Ishant Sharma picks the wicket of Murali Vijay but was run out in his second chance. Both KL Rahul and Cheteshwar Pujara were run out once during their batting period.

The only batsman who Survived the end of one hour and also win Kumble’s Challenge was Ajinkya Rahane, the Vice-Captain. Then, He considered as the new Wall of Indian cricket and has Rahul Dravid in his game in bits and pieces.
